Dear Haney Families
As the fall maintenance program is now in full swing, I thought it would be a good time to give you an update on some fundraising opportunities that are going to be available to you all within the next week or so.
We are continuing our partnership with the two recycling dots in Maple Ridge who will graciously take your drinking bottles/cans and donate the money you raise to your fundraising target. All you need to do is to tell them that you want to donate the money to the Haney Neptunes, get a receipt from them and place it in the fundraising file in the box at the pool. Please make sure you write your family name on the receipt and if possible send me a quick email (firstname.lastname@example.org) to let me know it is there.
I will be receiving 100 Panago coupons which will be available to purchase from me at $10 per coupon. Each Certificate entitles the bearer to one medium Panago pizza of their choice. The certificates are only valid for 3 months however, every coupon you purchase $4 of this will be taken from your fundraising total. At this time the numbers of coupons are limited but I intend to push for more once we are out. If you require these please email me with your request and place a cheque in an clearly marked envelope (family name please) in the fundraising folder.
Christmas Turkey Drive;
At this time I have to finalize the full details however, I will be coordinating a Turkey drive sometime at the end of Nov. I will send out order forms where you can specify how many birds you require and then an order will be placed. More details to follow but this will be a great way to earn your fundraising amount whilst buying something that is generally bought by many of us annually.
The fundraising program is a necessary element for our club to continue to thrive and your commitment to ensure it's well being by participating is greatly appreciated.

For all of you looking for a way to support your fundraising obligations here you go;
Accounts are set up at both Haney Bottle Depot located at 2-22935 Lougheed Highway (east end of town) and Maple Ridge Bottle Depot located at 15-20475 Lougheed Highway (behind Shoppers & Save on Foods).
All you need to do is take your empties in, sort them and cash them in. Let them know you are from the Haney Neptune Swim Club and have them put it under that account. You will receive a receipt with the total that you cashed in. Put your family name on the back of the receipt and the first name of your swimmer. Please put all receipts in the blue communication box at the pool. Either put them in the fundraising folder or in my family folder. The blue box is usually out on the bleachers. If it is not there check with the coach as it is in the equipment room cage beside the teach pool. Please send me an email that you have put a receipt in the box.
This is a great way to pay off your fundraising obligations as every dollar you receive goes towards the deposit cheques that we hope to give back to you at the end of the Summer session.

FUNDRAISING REFFERAL - If as a member family you recruit a new family to the Haney Neptunes (any season), please have them mention your name at registration. If that family stays on with the club and joins the summer program (not including the Hammond program) or has just newly joined for summer, your family will receive a $100 credit towards your $150 summer fundraising responsibility. Please note that it is up to you to ensure your name is noted & that you follow up again with the Director of Fundraising come summer! With accurate documentation and follow-up, we will happily apply this credit.
