For fundraising this summer, families will have 2 opportunities to work off your fundraising credit - sponsorship from businesses and a swim-a-thon.
For sponsorship, we encourage you to approach businesses that you frequent and request either cash sponsorship, or in-kind donations for the club. For cash sponsorship, 80% of what you bring into the club will go toward your fundraising credit. For in-kind donations, such as donations of gift cards, raffles or services/items that will benefit the club, the executive committee will determine the value of the item/service and apply it to your fundraising credit.
For your convenience, we have attached a sponsorship letter and an outline of how businesses can benefit from sponsorship with the Haney Neptunes that you can feel free to share with your personal request. Also, depending on your employer, consider asking if they would be interested in being a club sponsor - a number of people have done it in the past.
Back by popular demand, we will be hosting a swim-a-thon sometime in mid July, which is the other way you can reduce or eliminate your fundraising credit. Again, 80% of what your swimmer brings in from sponsors for the swim-a-thon will apply to your fundraising credit. There will be more details about this in the upcoming months.
There will be a number of other fundraisers that we will have throughout the season that will go to benefit the club in general and will not be applied towards individual family fundraising credit. These will include the blueberry sales, dominos and panago cards as well as some others that are still in the works. There will also be a number of fundraising opportunities at our swim meet and water polo tournament. We encourage all club members to support these fundraisers as well as provide assistance during the swim meet and water polo tournament in an effort to generate funds for the benefit of our swimmers.
Please note - as decided by the executive this past winter and communicated with members during the winter maintenance session, fundraising credits will no longer be carried over from session to session.

FUNDRAISING REFFERAL - If as a member family you recruit a new family to the Haney Neptunes (any season), please have them mention your name at registration. If that family stays on with the club and joins the summer program (not including the Hammond program) or has just newly joined for summer, your family will receive a $100 credit towards your $150 summer fundraising responsibility. Please note that it is up to you to ensure your name is noted & that you follow up again with the Director of Fundraising come summer! With accurate documentation and follow-up, we will happily apply this credit.
