Sending your kids out to fundraise

When selling those chocolate bars door to door (believe me, it’s a great learning experience for kids!) remember:
Don't send your sellers out unprepared. Part of youth sports is teaching. Helping kids with their sales skills goes a long way toward building self confidence.

Here's what to tell them:

  1. Make eye contact, smile and introduce yourself.
  2. Say one sentence about why you are raising funds.
  3. Say second sentence that asks for their help.
  4. Make sure that sentence includes the word "because".
  5. Extend sample item, catalog, or order sheet.
  6. Suggest a personal favorite item or bundle.
  7. Always ask for the order.

Do you have a good fundraising idea? Help the Haney Neptunes fundraise and parents to earn their fundraising dollars. Please bring your ideas forward. We are looking for parents to bring ideas and run individual fundraiser events. If you know of a company or organization that would be willing to provide sponsorship, then please let us know. Corporate sponsors are a cornerstone to the fundraising process and the Neptunes can work out a variety of ways to advertise our sponsors.

Haney Neptunes Fundraising Opportunities - Winter 2017

Fundraising Commitment per family $50

Krispy Kreme Fundraiser:

We are selling boxes of a dozen Krispy Kreme Donuts for $10 per box. The credit towards fundraising per box sold will be approximately  $4 per box, but may increase with the overall quantity of boxes sold. Consider asking friends, family and co-workers to buy a box or two – they really are an easy sell and will quickly reduce your fundraising commitment.  Please let Shannon know the quantity of boxes you would like prior to March 24th. Since it is spring break with no practices we will collect money at the time of pick up. Note you will be held accountable for payment for the number of boxes ordered. Pick up will be in front of the leisure centre at noon on Sunday April 2. Finally if a minimum of 25 boxes are not met, we will be cancelling this fundraiser.
Neufeld Farms fundraiser. 
Feel free to offer to friends, families and neighbours. Order forms were sent out and are due back to Natalie Baxter by April 18th with a pick up date of April 29th. Again this fundraiser has a minimum threshold of sales to go forward, so if it is not met then it we will be cancelling.
Pizza Vouchers – Dominos and Panago

We have a limited number of Domino’s and Panago Pizza Vouchers Available, but may be able to access more. Dominos vouchers cost $10, and $7.50 goes towards your fundraising credit. Each Panago voucher cost $12, and is good for any Medium Pizza. $4 from each of these vouchers sold goes towards your fundraising credit.

Witchcraft Dinner Night out

On Friday March 3rd, there will be a Neptunes Family Dinner held at the Witchcraft on Dewdney Trunk Road. $3.50 from each adult ticket sold and $1.50 from each child ticket sold will go towards your fundraising commitment.

Fundraising cheques will be cashed shortly after April 18th. If you meet your full fundraising commitment your $50 cheque will be destroyed. Keep in mind that if you are only a few dollars short of meeting your commitment your cheque WILL be cashed and you will receive a refund cheque for the amount fundraised.

FUNDRAISING REFFERAL - If as a member family you recruit a new family to the Haney Neptunes (any season), please have them mention your name at registration.  If that family stays on with the club and joins the summer program (not including the Hammond program) or has just newly joined for summer, your family will receive a $100 credit towards your $150 summer fundraising responsibility.  Please note that it is up to you to ensure your name is noted & that you follow up again with the Director of Fundraising come summer!  With accurate documentation and follow-up, we will happily apply this credit.
